LiveCds Aren't Working!

Why does my computer want to screw my live CDs?

I have tried...
Kubuntu 6.06 and it just reboots at the end of the loading bar.
P.H.L.A.K. 0.3 has the same problem.
Backtrack 1.0 is incompatible with my monitor.
Operator won't work with my mouse.
Slax 5.1.6 & Server Edition both encounter SQUASHFS (SP?) errors.
Goblin X 1.3 won't even start loading.
Talos Beta 0.1 produces the same errors.

Does anyone have a clue why these don't work, or a suggestion as to which ones might?
