Recue & Diagnostics Live CD

Postby foxbunny » Fri Sep 22, 2006 1:31 am

This is a short Q, with probably a short list of A's...

I need:

- Linux LiveCD
- Read/Write support for NTFS
- Up-to-date kernel drivers
- Includes 'photorec', 'testdisk', 'fatback' (or some other FAT undelete tool), some NTFS undelete tool, maybe even sleuth kit?, smartctl

If anyone knows of such a Live CD, please tell me.

I've tried RIP Linux, but it has no FAT undelete functionality (or I've missed it?).

Don't know about PhotoRec, but the SystemRescueCD sounds like an almost perfect fit. It's relatively small has the latest NTFS-3g (1.0), 2.6.19 (?) kernel.....
