Sidux!
Posted: Sat Apr 26, 2008 6:09 amSidux is a live CD based on (you guessed it) Debian Sid. I believe that I read that it was started by developers who left Kanotix after Kanos decided to switch from Sid to Etch as the base distro.
As an installation disk, Sidux is meant to do what to do what Kanotix used to do: install a nice solid Debian-Sid OS to the hard drive. As live CD, Sidux has a generous menu of advanced booting options, including text-based, which has come in pretty handy for me on a couple of occasions:
