Puppy Linux update

Postby J_Rey » Thu Nov 17, 2005 6:03 pm

I noticed that on your LiveCD list and the corresponding Wiki page that the listing(s) for Puppy Linux are outdated. The project home page should be http://pupweb.org/puppy/index.html. The ISO sizes are currently 56 MB for 1.0.6 but there are older releases that ranged from 40 MB to 96 MB (for the more recent ones). BareBones won't be released anymore but Chubby Puppy will be at times. The download page is at http://pupweb.org/puppy/download/downpage.htm, the torrents page is at http://puppylinux.org/wikka/PuppyP2PDistribution. Puppy can also be an OS replacement (i.e. it can take over a ext2 partition).

One thing that is unique to Puppy Linux is that it can be a "multi-session" live-CD/DVD, where you can save all your personal files back to a multisession formatted CD-R or DVD-R, no need for any other storage media!
