Free Opera 8.5 Inside LiveCD?

Postby anony » Sat Sep 24, 2005 3:53 am

From Opera.com forum:

"Opera is already included in some (a few) distros. Whether the new free license to use Opera is compatible with the philosophy of any particular distro is up to that distro. Opera ASA should poke the popular distros to have them recheck that compatibility. Even if it turns out to still be incompatible with most of them, there will be some that will add Opera."

Free Opera 8.5 is already included in the commercial version of SUSE distro.

Is there any LiveCD with free Opera 8.5 browser?

and a new review here: http://gnuman.com/linux_distro_reviews/ ... eview.html

Code: Select all
One thing that is new is that this distro only comes with Opera 8.50 browser. This is the first distro to include Opera 8.50 in its new completely free version, I would assume now distro creators will start pushing Opera as well as Firefox in upcoming releases.
