LiveCD for old PCs?

I'm looking for a livecd that boots into a GUI and has the absolute lowest minimum requrements. Any suggestions for me? Also, I've noticed that a lot of the livecds out there don't really give any minimum requirements, it would be nice to see that added to their websites, so people have an idea of what kind of hardware they need.

Try Damn Small Linux and Puppy Linux first. They're both very good, and I remember DSL has minimum requirements of a 486 with 16 MB of memory.

Feather Linux may also be worth a try.

I'd love to add the minimum requirements for all the LiveCDs, but as you said, most projects don't even list them, and it would take close to forever for me to determine them accurately.

Knoppix 3.2 can run on Pentium I with 32 Mb, without any hard disk.
For GUI, use fast, lightweight "twm" windows manager with boot parameter:
