gnUAMix (SPAIN)

gnUAMix was the first linux distribution for University. This distribution was created by CRL (Centro de Referencia Linux, UAM-IBM) to the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) Spain. Had more than 40.000 copies and was distributed to all the university personal (students, teachers, administration people, services people...)
Had gnome2 and was based on Debian Woody 3 release 1.
It was finished and distributed on September 2003
