good day for all .

I have visited this site (livecdlist.com) and i want to suggets one thing to admin , but i didn't find his email , so i post here .

maybe it is a good idea to write for each LiveCd - if i can umount him (cdrom , cdwriter or usbstick ) and work then , and if i need some programm on cd , then again mount , load to memory and if i need cdrom or cdwriter - umount again .

for example , as i know , Knoppix can't do this , but some LiveCd-s can (maybe Blin) and i search for them .

Hi inf,

This is a difficult option to check for, a lot of LiveCDs would require me to download and look for that option, and even then I may miss it. For now probably the best way to find this is to ask around in various forums. Since a lot of LiveCDs are based on Knoppix, this feature may have carried through to the different projects, and may be common. Most of the computers I have run LiveCDs on have had two cdrom drives, so I can't help with recommending others.

Hi
Try Mandrakemove and several Mandrake related LiveCD.

Beside MandrakeMove, if you have 1 GB RAM, you can boot Knoppix using "TORAM" boot parameter.
This will load the entire CD into RAM and you can unmount the CD and eject it.

Some small Knoppix related LiveCD also have "TORAM" capability.

On some multimedia LiveCD, you can eject the CD, insert audio CD and play the music.
