Is there an information page on this version? I found a 492 MB KANOTIX-LITE version, but this beanix version looks like a different project?

Yes, the Benix-Lite Version is a different project. 'Benix' tries to get a Kanotix-Live-CD with lower then 200 MB through remastering of the Kanotix-Live-CD (for USB-Stick and other low-memory-devices/disks/cards).
(It seems to be, that 'Benix' is a co-worker of 'Kano' team).
I think, it'is a good idea of Benix, that's just why the Benix-Kanotix connect the easy possibility for a very good hardware-detection and a software-selection with low requirements of RAM and CPU (64MB and 200MHz is enough!).
There is (only?) in the german Kanotix-forum a discussion about the Benix-project.
