The proper way to write "live CD"?

Postby nick » Tue Feb 01, 2005 12:13 pm

Recently I've been following the name as written in the O'Reilly book "Knoppix Hacks", which separates the "live" from "CD", as in "live CD". While this appears to be the standard for that book, other articles on O'Reilly's website, along with wikipedia, use the term "LiveCD", with that capitalization. To confuse the matter, knoppix.net uses the term "Live Linux CD", and many live CD (LiveCD?) sites use many different terms.

I'm guilty of using the terms interchangeably, and it's time I stop. What is the proper term?
