News: LiveCD Lets You Try Out Project Looking Glass

Slashdot carries news that Sun has released a LiveCD to demo its Project Looking Glass 3D technology. Project Looking Glass is a 3D desktop environment created by SUN. While I have not been able to use if for anything productive in the past, it is cool to look at and show to friends. Using this LiveCD would have saved me the time it took to get Java 1.4 and 1.5 to play nice together.

The LiveCD is based on GamesKnoppix, probably for the ease of which GamesKnoppix can get hardware OpenGL rendering on ATI and Nvidia video cards.
