fastest booting livecd

i was just wondering out of all the lvie cds out there, which one has the fastest booting time?
i just a want a normal desktop which doesnt have to be loaded with features.

DSL and SLAX are pretty quick. All seem to be held up by hardware detection, and depending on the speed of the computer, Knoppix can start nearly as fast as DSL.

Perhaps you can try knoppix with text mode / console:

knoppix 2

There is also a quick boot without any hardware test:

knoppix nohwsetup

Perhaps you can change the desktop manager to twm, or icewm:

knoppix desktop=twm

knoppix desktop=icewm
