Discussion and questions about hardware for LiveCDs, LiveDVDs, and LiveUSB devices, such as media, optical drives, and USB flash drives.

I am having trouble running a LiveCD on an old laptop. The BIOS has no option of booting from the CD drive; only floppy drive and hard drive. I would like to use SLAX by taking the hard drive out, so if someone could help me maybe get a floppy boot disc or some other soultion.
Thanks

That is a problem, but it can be worked around by using a floppy which will hand off the booting to the CD. After that, you could install SLAX to the hard drive for a bit more speed.
